After almost 650,000 deaths in the U.S., Covid has finally crept into my world. I just had the first person that I knew well die of Covid this week, and it feels just like I thought it would. Awful. I had not talked to this person in a long time, but he was a big part of my childhood and teenage years, and I’ll always remember the way he carried himself with confidence and a strong faith in Christ. His family is wonderful and although I know they are hurting, I know that their faith will carry them through. May peace be with you and with all that have lost someone during this awful year and a half. Think of your neighbors and your friends as we move forward. We’ve got a lot more of this to get through.
